AFC Bournemouth’s Community Sports Trust was established as a charitable trust in 2007. The Club’s community scheme reaches over 3,000 children and families across Dorset each week, offering football and educational based projects.
The Community Sports Trust uses football as a vehicle to engage with the community and reach over 3,000 children and families each week. Boys and girls aged 5–18 and from all social backgrounds participate in sport and educational based activities.
AFC Bournemouth has now been Awarded Silver Status by The Football League Trust for its excellent work in the Community. The Community Scheme offers commercial organisations a valuable opportunity to support projects, hit corporate social responsibility objectives and have a positive impact in the local community. This valuable work is funded by the public as well as private investors, enabling partners to demonstrate their commitment to the community and reach a diverse audience.
